NBN Co are targeting service deliver within 60 business days from the date of order. All premises are different, however, and during initial survey phase, if additional works are identified that would delay this target, we will let you know.

Are there any costs for installation?

For customers in an nbn Business Fibre zone, the build will be fully funded by NBN Co. In other eligable areas, 90% of premises have already been identified for full NBN Co funding. For category B premises, a desktop study is required to determine funding eligibility. For categoy C premises, NBN Co will co-fund a portion of the costs. A full quote is required prior to order acceptance.

What capabilities does my router need?

NBN Co will install a Network Termination Unit at your premise, your router will need to be able to connect to it by ethernet, or 1000BASE-SX/LX fibre connection. Your router must also be able to shape traffic to the required profile speed.

What is Low CoS / High CoS?

CoS or Class of Service describes the way that traffic is handled as it passes across the NBN Network and our Carrier Backhaul network. Low CoS has a 0:1 CIR:PIR handoff at the NBN Point of Interconnect. Low CoS plans are suitable for a broad range of business uses where fluctuating sustained bandwidth is permissible, such as general web browsing, file sharing, High CoS has a 1:1 CIR:PIR handoff. These plans are suitable for applications where maintaining the full rate of the connection at all times is desired. Such uses include larger scale hosting of remote desktop services, database servers, web servers and critical communication infrustructure.
