Things you need to know

  • What is Business Hosted Voice and how does it work?

    Business Hosted Voice works just like a normal phone system except you don’t have a physical phone system at your office. 


    Your phone system is hosted in AWS and managed by Lightning IP.

  • Can I keep my existing business phone numbers?

    Yes you can. We can port your existing phone numbers from your current provider and use them with your Hosted Voice Service.


    Please note: Porting fees apply.

  • Can I use the phones if the power goes off?

    If the power goes off, and the handsets are not conencted to a UPS (Uninterrupted Power Supply) your phones will stop working. 


    We recommend discussing your needs with a member of our team to ensure you have a solution to suit your business.

  • Can I use the Business Hosted Voice system if my business has multiple offices?

    Yes you can. 


    You will need to advise us which addresses your numbers will be assigned to so that we can ensure that the Integrated Public Number Database accurately reflects those details to ensure emergency services will have accurate records.

  • Can I purchase my own handsets to use with my Business Hosted Voice service?

    Yes you can, however, it’s recommended that you purchase handsets from us as each handset provided is configured to work with our system. 



    We may not be able to provide support for equipment other than devices from vendors which we supply.


    A fee for service may also apply for equipment not purchased from us.
